After studying painting at art college (Dip A.D hons), I then went on to do commissioned paintings and produce screen prints for a number of galleries. At the same time I was teaching in various educational establishments.

More recently I have been concentrating on sculpture. I make sculptures out of clay, wood and stone, make my own moulds and cast in various materials.

My sculpture is in collections in the States, South Africa and Britain and I exhibit primarily in London, and the South. I am a member of various Art Societies including Surrey Sculpture Society where I show work in Gardens such as Wisley and Savill Garden.

I have a passion for shapes: whether they be the flat or implied shapes in paintings, or the ever-changing shapes seen in three-dimensional work. Equally I love colour: the natural colours of wood, stone or metals but also applied colour: bright, lush or subtle.

I use simple line and shape to get to the essence of a theme and try to show vulnerability and innocence of human and bird form. In my larger sculptures I attempt to extract a power yet make the theme reflective. All my work has a rhythmic signature.

My latest work includes photography where I try to capture a moment in time.
